Rock Garden Wingler Gardens on Raspberry Ridge
spacer Home The Rock Garden

Over the past couple of years, Wade has become very interested in cacti and succulents. After much contemplation, he decided that moving to Arizona and opening a cactus farm was just not reasonable. So, after more contemplation and a little research, he discovered that there are a number of desert plants that will survive the cold (zone 5) Indiana winters.

This spring he started a rock garden filled with Hens'n'Chicks (Sempervivium spp.), Stonecrop (Sedem spp.), Cotyledon spp., Euphorbia sp, and Prickly Pear (Opuntia. sp.)

This summer, Wade's really enjoying this rock garden. He'll probably spend most of his winter building campfires to keep these little fellas warm!
