In the late summer and fall of 2003, Phil was doing some shopping at the local Lowes and was struck (not literally!) by a rose. That sparked an idea of starting a rose garden on the sunny west side of his home. He now has a lovely rose garden, fenced with white pickets and an entryway. The scent of these beauties hits you about the time you get out of your car!
